In addition to the facilities at the entrance to Mariposa, there are 115 acres of creeks, forests and meadows to adventure in. There is also a garden, lively goats and a large rustic barn. An abundance of wildlife and native flora thrive in this protected setting. The property and surrounding hills can be easily explored by hiking on footpaths and nearby country roads.
The creek floodplain located below the main school facilities is a great place to camp, play, and have outdoor activities. There is access to the seasonal creek here.
The meadow is the perfect place for camping in a wild and beautiful setting… only a 10 minute walk up a trail from the main road, this site has also been used for weddings, outdoor education classes and celebrations. There is limited parking near the meadow but lots of space for tents and walk-in camping. You can enjoy the waterfall in winter and spring, and an old orchard of fig trees, pears, apples and walnuts.
The goats are a part of our community too!
